Nature Explorers Club Outing – May 2024

The Sheds@Birdsong Gemstone Road, Crocodile River Reserve, Gauteng, South Africa

At our last outing for 2023 we will be discussing the weather. Sounds boring? Not a chance! Weather affects every living and non-living thing on the earth, daily. This makes it vital that children are taught to understand it’s importance, and that how we live our lives can actually have an impact, good and bad, on the weather.

A nature walk, play time, being creative in building their own ‘weather station’, and science experiments are all the fun ways in which the children will learn about weather patterns, water cycles and how clouds form.

Run/Walk the Rhenoster 2024

Join us as we lace up our running shoes and walking boots and come immerse yourself in the rich heritage of the reserve, from ancient geological formations to iconic landmarks like Koppie Alleen and Rhenosterkop. As we traverse the trails, we're not racing against the clock; we're running and walking for a cause. A portion of each ticket sale directly supports conservation efforts and wildlife veterinary services in the reserve, ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy these pristine natural spaces.
