Lady Bird Hill

The unique ruins atop Lady Bird Hill are the remnants of a home in the Crocodile River Reserve built in the 1970s.

Due to the scarcity of water in the area, the landowner was unable to secure a reliable water source on the property, forcing them to abandon their plans of living there permanently and eventually sell the land.

The hill earned its name from the unusually large number of ladybirds that once populated the area, although, regrettably, they have not been seen in such abundance for many years now.
